Before anything, I would like to take this moment to thank God for letting me see much hope in the world. Today I am happy not just for myself but for the world. Why?
Because I found that though our lives are increasingly evolving, increasingly becoming complicated, there are still those who can ignore the easy road of hate and condemnation and travel that of peace, hope and love.
We've all been quite aware of the recent Quirino Grandstand Hostage Taking and it has surely caused an explosion of negative feelings. Grief, despair, sadness, hate, anger, condemnation, and disappointment, just to name a few.
But then there were still those who made me smile
- Jackie Chan - he was the first one to speak of any good or understanding towards the incident. I've always admired what kind a person he was not just because he was good at what he does but he always seemed like a genuine person, and an awesome one at that. Because of the message he sent out through Twitter, my respect and admiration just grew. Cheesy, I know, but that was really nice of him.
- The little stories I hear from people that cut us slack - I hear things going around from people of other nations saying that hostage takings happen anywhere and everywhere, that it's not as big and blown up as it has been made. Granted, it was an unfortunate incident but you only really carry the burden so far.
- What was on the news today - today I was surprised and I felt fuzzy as I heard news of these youth in HK going around, approaching all the Filipinos they could, talking to them, hugging them, asking them how they are, etc. That was really heart-warming to see. It broke my heart when I thought of how hateful people would be, how Filipinos working over there would be treated for something that wasn't their fault. People are scared. But them? They're just amazing. I salute them. They make me believe in the human race again because for the longest time, we've been acting like sh*t. We need to get our act together and what they just did? That's something we have to follow up on.
So that's the first third of my title. Second and third parts? It's about nail things.
I can't believe it. For a while now I've suddenly gotten into nail polish and stuff. HORRIBLE :)) I have to fix my set up now. At first I said that I won't go crazy over polish that I'd fill this container a while back.

Well.... It's filled now... so... not a good sign =\ (PS, does anyone know when the Orly Cosmic FX line's coming out here? ._.) I don't even want to show it 'til it's fixed =|
With the first thing I bought, I've noticed my cuticles have been darkening a little, been a little puffed up and that as of yesterday, they've started PEELING a bit D: That's when I thought "this has to end" and with that I bought

Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream. As the picture says, it's 395php. I was thinking of getting Lush's Lemony Flutter but the feedback I've been getting on the smell isn't all that brill as of that with BB's. So far it's been good. Maybe I should review it in a week (haven't done a freaking review in freaking forever). How're things so far? I like it :) That's all I'm saying for now ;)
Next thing is something I've been wanting for a while now. I thought I've killed my lemming for it after a week but soon, I just couldn't stop thinking about it! For some reason, something in me just said "I'm getting it" and so I did. Today, before going to school :)) And I SHOULDN'T be getting things for a while after this.

This duo includes OPI My Private Jet (non-holo), DS Coronation and a cute little bag. Price? 795php (OPI polishes retail for 395php at Rustans) which is pretty good since one's a DS plus the cute bag's seem real nice. I have MPJ on at the moment. I kind of wish this was the holo version. I've never had a holo polish before and yeah... I want one :)) Are there any permanent ones (any brand) that are good? Lemme know if you know any. But yeah, I think if I had to pick a favorite brand for nail polish, it'd have to be OPI. I've only tried OPI, Orly and local brands, btw and what I can say is, I love the colors, the brush is BRILL, the quality of the polish, it's all pretty darn good to me. I won't stop buying other things (especially since OPI's pretty expensive) but yes, today I'm reminded of how good it feels.
So here's the NOTW shots

The pics don't really do the polish justice. Though it's not the famous holo version, this polish is still pretty brill! I love how it looks. Lately I've been into posh nails. I don't know, for me this is a posh color since it makes me feel put together and everything. I'd describe it as a brown black color with small multicolored shimmers. It's really beautiful and if I could only show you my nails now (as in face to face) I would. PS as always, sorry for the pre-cleanup photos :))

And DS Coronation. Pic, as usual, is not done any justice at all. It has pretty rainbow sparkles! Can't wait to wear it next week (PS my nails don't look jacked up like that, the light made it look like so)
Finally it's movie time
I just wanna say...

IT'S SO FLUFFY I'M GONNA DIE!
Finally, I've seen Despicable me. I give it... 5 OUT OF 5!!! Haha. I swear it's a good movie. Maybe these little guys won me over but still, you have to see it! Saw it Saturday

Had to get tickets early but srsly, guess it wasn't early enough since we're on row B :)) Mum swung by to get them. I LOVE YOU MOM!
Can I just say...
I BLAME AYALA CINEMAS FOR OPENING DESPICABLE ME AT ONLY ONE FREAKING THEATRE IN 3D ONLY.
Things wrong with that:
- IT'S DESPICABLE ME WTF
- One theatre, srsly?
- They're prolly greedy, offering only 3D and stuff.
Idk, just sayin'

I WAS SO EXCITED IN THE CAR (this is prolly the post where I have the most all-caps sh*t evar) so much so that I felt compelled to snap a shot of this billboard. I was ecstatic like a little kid who's had too much sugar!

The line to get in. I don't get why there's a line early on with the doors opening. It's freaking reserved seating people. We caused a big blockage at the middle of the cinema lobby :))
So yeah. It was great. Good for laughs, the "awwwww"s and all. GO WATCH IT NOW.
Teehee. Now I must get back to chill time. I love my nails, I love today, and of course, YAY FOR MIKI TIME (hah, bet that made you smile, babe :p).
'Til then,
Love muchness,
Ciao :)

@Vernz: Yeah. I'm thankful for people who take the forgiving rather than hateful road. Glad you enjoyed the entry :)
@Em: With nails yellowing, I think it depends on the basecoat protecting your nails and how frequent you're doing them. I'm happy to report that I don't have yellow nails anymore! :D Thanks for the award, doll :) Hope I get to it soon.
